Residential Paving

Project Details

For this project, we paved a county driveway & turnabout in Springfield, KY.

On this 10,000 sq ft driveway project in Springfield, Kentucky, we started by re-grading the existing drive to correct the slope, improve drainage, and create a solid foundation for a long-lasting finish. From there, we installed new dense grade to build the base up properly, then constructed a clean turnabout area and added fresh landscaping to give the entrance a polished, high-end look. After paving, we backfilled dirt along the edges to improve both the appearance and the stability of the driveway, helping support the pavement and create a clean, finished transition into the surrounding ground. The end result was a major transformation, smoother access, stronger edges, and a driveway that looks sharp from the road and performs even better day-to-day.

For this project, we had to stay flexible and work around unpredictable weather, including sudden heavy showers that weren’t on the radar when we started our day. Instead of pushing through and risking the quality of the base or the asphalt, we planned the job in phases and identified smart stopping points before each round of rain moved in. That allowed us to protect the work we had already completed, avoid tracking mud or moisture into the base, and pick back up efficiently as soon as conditions improved.

Project Challenges

Weather can be unpredictable, and on projects like this it can change quickly with little to no warning.
